Hungary’s Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, visited the town of Bicske on Sunday. The visit was part of his political campaign for the country’s elections next month.
Orban spoke to the people of the town and said in a related Facebook message that “children are the most important” and Hungary “needs more children and not migrants”.
The people of Bicske were told that if Orban’s Fidesz party can’t form a government with anti-immigration party KDNP, the refugee camp in the town could be reopened.
Orban is known for being a hardliner against immigration and is a fierce opponent of the European Union’s migrant relocation plans.
A few days ago Orban said that “If migration becomes a human right, this will be a sure recipe for destroying the earth, leading to a primitive humanity”.
